Here is where I show a bit of my foodie side who loves to travel around our beautiful state and take you on a visual journey - my photo blog. I show my love of Maine, photography, food photography, wine, travel, Maine lobster, macro photography, the ocean, nature and all sorts of things. Anyone who knows me on Twitter knows how I love to tweet food photos! I think creative people look at things differently, particularly those who love to cook. I walk into a farmers market and I don't first see nourishment, I see art. I see produce as beautifully colored edible art. What can I create with them? I get inspired by perusing a gourmet grocer's shelves. I go to a restaurant and immediately think about blogging what I'm about to see, taste and smell. It's like my husband in Home Depot (well, maybe Lowes these days) or a kid in a candy shop. I think most foodies would understand. I'm really what I consider a chef-restaurateur wannabe but know that I don't really have the right make up for a restaurant kitchen chef. So innkeeping really satisfied that desire for me. And for now, being a lodging broker and a food blogger and home chef fulfill many of my passions. I hope you enjoy browsing my blogs as much as I enjoy keeping them.

My Bed and Breakfast and Lodgings Blog
I first started blogging back in December 2008. It began with a mix of Maine tourism and commerce as well as an advertising platform for my listings. Maineinnbroker.blogspot.com was then born. But I began to add a bit of my personal style with the food, wine and photography and suddenly I found myself enjoying the writing as it turned out to be a creative outlet for me. I satisfied my creative side by innkeeping - cooking, decorating, entertaining, designing our website. But then I realized just how I could continue with that creativity once we sold the inn, by blogging. So I'll continue to blog about the bed and breakfast industry on this blog, and keep my personal passion for food, wine and photography in my other blogs.

Edible Art Food Photography
This is a new blog that came about after I got my new macro lens. Often when you get so close to the subject it really seems to come to life. If only we could run our fingers through the chocolate or caramel drips. This is commonly referred to as "foodporn" - or as I see it, beautiful eye candy.
