My Bed and Breakfast Lodging Industry Blog

I first started blogging back in December 2008. It began with a mix of Maine tourism and commerce as well as an advertising platform for my listings. Ma ineLodgingBroker.com was then born. But I began to add a bit of my personal style with the food, wine and photography and suddenly I found myself enjoying the writing as it turned out to be a creative outlet for me. I satisfied my creative side by innkeeping - cooking, decorating, entertaining, designing our website. But then I realized just how I could continue with that creativity once we sold the inn, by blogging. So I'll continue to blog about the bed and breakfast industry on this blog, and keep my personal passion for food, wine and photography in my other blogs.

This is another site where I post photo albums of each of my property listings. It offers a nice visual appeal and offers stats on visits and "likes".

The Tech Savvy Innkeeper

I created this site as a tool for the hospitality industry to keep up with web marketing trends. So much of the marketing I do as a REALTOR can be applied to the way hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, restaurants and other recreational businesses perform their marketing too. We're both selling something - what I'm selling is just longer term! We both try to showcase the real estate or property but as important or even more important is the area surrounding the property. So over the past couple years, as I transitioned from Innkeeper to Lodging Broker, the time I've spent in online marketing research has been an invaluable learning tool that I wanted to share with those already in the hospitality business or those looking to get into it. Besides, it's easier to point someone to my website than to explain on a regular basis.

I welcome comments and suggestions, since I fully believe in engaging, networking and building and maintaining relationships. Communication is a two way street...

My Delicious Mornings
