Ah, something I’ve been talking about for quite some time, SOCIAL MEDIA for tourism business.
“Tourism-related businesses were encouraged Thursday at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism to embrace social media as a way to reach customers, about two-thirds of whom rely on the Internet as a primary source for information when they plan trips.”
The question is, why wouldn’t you participate in social media to help promote your business? It’s not only common to see “Visit our Facebook Page” on a business website, but almost expected. It’s a way for the consumer to engage with many of the business owners themselves, where they would not otherwise have the opportunity. On the other hand, it’s a way for the business owner to not only target their marketing but to get direct feedback.
