I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of a new book available in bookstores on 2-22-11 titled "Surviving your Serengeti: 7 Skills to Master Business and Life" by successful businessman and author, Stefan Swanepoel. I've followed Stefan and many others in his social media circle and I get the appeal. The book is simple, thought provoking, uplifting and induces self-understanding. And of course it left me with a great desire to take a safari!

The website offers a short quiz that reveals what animal you are most similar to in the Serengeti and why. What I took from it was this: what traits did I possess that I'm satisfied with and which do I want to change? Which traits do I need to strive to attain that other animals have to make me a better person? The better we understand who we are and why we do what we do, the better we can work with others in our lives, both personal and business. Each animal has its strengths and weaknesses, recognizing them is paramount to the success of us all.
