My thoughts on (some) blogs in general is that social media platforms have taken a better position over blogs, because the dialog has become so much more important than the monologue. So we use blogs to convey the message and social media to spread the message and to interact about the message. And we naturally want to spend time where we get the traction. For me, I engage the most on Facebook and Instagram. For me, Twitter has become a place to broadcast, but not so much to engage.
My brokerage blog is where I post information for buyers and sellers of hospitality properties and to educate about what's happening in the industry. I feed those posts to my Maine Inn Broker page on Facebook. And I sometimes talk about my brokerage business on my personal page as well (feel free to follow me!). And when I have time or think about it, I post to my food blog Musings of the FoodMadam. I feed my Instagram photos to Snap, Sip and Savor.
So there isn't really a need for this blog "What's Dana up to?" because you know what I'm up to if you follow me anywhere else!
Regardless of the platform, what I always strive for is to promote the beauty and splendor of Maine through pictures. I've driven ALL over this big state, in all seasons, and have thousands of pictures to share for others to see why we love Maine! You know what they say, "Maine, the way life should be"...
