It's been a very busy winter, and I don't just mean with the SNOW! And no, it hasn't melted yet... I finally had a small window where I could get away between obligations. And it had been too many years since I'd actually taken a vacation, though working for myself and living in MAINE are enjoyable enough that I've not felt the need to escape the same as when I worked a corporate job in the DC area. So my husband and I took a 13 day trip to California in January! In case you feel like browsing over 500 photos, there are some beauties. We stayed with friends at Dana Point for 5 days, then met my crazy California cousin in Paso Robles before heading up to the Napa area. After 4 days in wine country, we headed to San Francisco for 4 days before flying home. It was 13 much needed days of relaxation, friends, fun, food and drink! Did I mention food?! | Dana Point, California (above) SOLD! Coach Stop Inn, Bar Harbor Maine (above) |
At present, I have Maples Inn under contract and just recently put Open Hearth Inn under contract! An offer is pending on another listing of mine, so it's been a very busy winter into spring. No complaints here. And I am SO lucky to be working with some really great buyers and sellers (since I'm representing both sides on all of these transactions).
Next week I'm headed to a conference in Vermont for the National Association of Realtors, called Tech Edge. "This one-day, technology packed conference will feature a carefully-chosen, super-smart lineup of seasoned, well-respected real estate professionals from 5 states with over 200 YEARS of cumulative experience. We'll discuss, dissect and teach about how to use, why to use and what to use in today's ever-changing industry." So I'm thrilled to have been asked to be a speaker this year. This will be my inaugural presentation with NAR! I'll speak about online branding, marketing to the iConsumer, the Millennial, SEO and blogging and much more.
The first weekend in April I'll be cooking at the Inn on Carleton in Portland, Maine! The owners purchased the inn through me last year and are looking to get away to visit family before the season kicks in. So that will be fun for me to play the role of my clients once again. |
The weekend of April 10th I'll be at our company's aspiring innkeeper weekend seminar in Kennebunkport. If the snow has melted, I'll snap some pictures while I'm there. You'd wonder what was wrong if I didn't! |
That's enough for now. There will be more to report next post, I promise!
