So I've finally written a cookbook!
The Art of Breakfast
For years I've wanted to write a cookbook. When we had the inn, guests would constantly ask if I had a cookbook they could purchase. I always said I'd write one over the winter (we were only open May-October) but I never did. So now thanks to Down East Publications (yes, that's Down East Magazine!) I'm writing one now.
The premise is that breakfast can be as special, beautiful and artfully prepared as dinner, yet can also be simple, with the right ingredients, techniques and some advance prep. A little knowledge of the color wheel and you'll understand where I get my inspiration! I'm using as many local and organic products as I can. The recipes are my scaled down adaptations of cooking for 8-20 bed and breakfast guests! Each plate will offer simple tips and techniques on how to show your guests you care with a little extra effort.
Food to me is edible art.
